Dr. Kevin McCracken combines a varied medical background, including the advantage of training in General and Trauma Orthopedics, in addition to expertise in all areas of spinal care. He firmly believes in his mission to care for each individual patient and their total well-being.

He has extensive surgical & academic training along with broad experience in the treatment of adult and adolescent patients with spine disorders. He takes pride in providing compassionate, understanding and supportive care for his patients.

Dr. Kevin McCracken is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons and a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.

He graduated Cum Laude from Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Pennsylvania and received his medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, New Jersey Medical School (now known as Rutgers Medical School). After completing a 5 year orthopaedic residency at UMDNJ and affiliated hospitals, he furthered his spinal surgical training by completing a one a year fellowship at the Texas Back Institute in Plano, Texas.

Since the start of his private practice in 1997, Dr. McCracken has completed over 5,000 spine procedures ranging from simple microscopic discectomy/decompressions to complex reconstructive surgery for scoliosis, spinal deformity (cervical and thoracolumbar) and trauma. In addition, he served as an active Spine Trauma surgeon at a Level 2 New Jersey trauma center and continues to gain wide-ranging experience in the treatment of extensive spine injuries.

In 2013 Dr. McCracken volunteered his extensive spinal surgical experience by traveling to Dominican Republic to perform complex reconstructive spinal surgery on underprivileged children and adults in that country. He plans to continue this in 2016 and beyond.

Dr. McCracken is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and is an active member of numerous professional organizations: Professional Memberships and Societies
