Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery

Minimally invasive surgery (MIS) treats a variety of spinal disorders using very small incisions  (usually < 2 cm) and advanced technology through the use of specialized instruments (e.g. endoscopy, tubes, etc.). There is less pain, decreased hospital time, improved cosmetic scar appearance and decreased blood loss compared to "open" (larger incision) techniques.
